What is the 11+ exam?
The 11+ is a set of optional exams taken by Year 6 pupils, usually in September or October,
to determine a child's suitability for grammar schools. The 11+ exam assesses pupil's
Maths, English, Verbal Reasoning & Non-Verbal Reasoning skills.
What does an 11+ lesson look like?
How do I apply?
To apply for your child to sit the 11+ exam, in Dorset, you must apply before the September of your
child entering Year 6. Applications for the 11+ can be found on the grammar school website that you would like your child to attend.
